Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Better for Butchery, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information about visitors to bfbutchery.com (the "Site") and users of the services offered through the Site, including tour scheduling, quote requests, the cut-sheet builder, and account-related functions.
Section 1 — What We Collect
When you schedule a tour, request a quote, build a cut sheet, or create an account through the Site, we collect the personal information you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address (if provided), the species and approximate weight of the animal you intend to bring, your selected cut-sheet specifications, and any notes or preferences you submit.
When you browse the Site, we may automatically receive your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, and referring page in order to provide us with information that helps us understand how visitors interact with the Site.
Email communications: With your permission, we may send you emails about your tour or order, account-related notifications, and (if you opt in) occasional updates about availability, seasonal specials, and operational news.
Section 2 — Consent
How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to schedule a tour, request a quote, build a cut sheet, or create an account, we treat that submission as your consent to collect and use the information for the purpose for which you provided it.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason — such as marketing emails — we will either ask you directly for your express consent (typically via an opt-in checkbox) or provide you with an opportunity to decline.
How do I withdraw my consent?
If you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, or for the continued collection, use, or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at better@betterforbutchery.com or by mail at the address listed at the end of this policy.
Section 3 — Disclosure
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so, or if you violate our Terms of Use.
Section 4 — Hosting and Service Providers
The Site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., a third-party static-site hosting provider. Account-related functions (sign-in, magic-link delivery, account records, and cut-sheet storage) are provided by Supabase, Inc. Both Netlify and Supabase store data on secure infrastructure and follow industry-standard practices for data protection.
We may share your personal information with service providers who help us operate the Site, deliver email, or otherwise provide the Services — but only to the extent necessary for them to perform those services, and subject to confidentiality obligations.
Once you leave the Site or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy.
Section 5 — Third-Party Services
In general, third-party providers used by us will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us.
Certain third-party service providers, however, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled.
In particular, certain providers may be located in or have facilities in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you proceed with a transaction or interaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

Section 6 — Security
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to ensure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
Information transmitted between your browser and the Site is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS). Account credentials and authentication tokens are managed by Supabase and stored using industry-standard encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow generally accepted industry standards to protect personal information.
Section 7 — Cookies and Local Storage
The Site uses cookies and browser-local-storage entries for the following purposes:
- Authentication cookies (Supabase): when you sign in, Supabase sets cookies that keep you signed in across page loads. These are required for the sign-in feature to function.
bfb_intro_dismissed(localStorage): when you click "Skip intro" on the cut-sheet builder, this small flag is stored in your browser so you don't see the intro again on subsequent visits. It contains no personal information.- Google Analytics cookies (
_ga,_ga_*,_gid): we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the Site (which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, what device and browser they use, and approximate geographic location derived from IP address). Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser to maintain a visitor session and to distinguish unique visitors. Information collected by Google Analytics is processed by Google in accordance with Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by using your browser's cookie controls.
The Site does not currently use advertising cookies or sell personal information. If we add advertising or other tracking in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide appropriate notice and consent controls.
Section 8 — Age of Consent
By using this Site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this Site.
Section 9 — Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it periodically. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the Site. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use or disclose it.
If our business is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to provide services to you.
